I'm not quite sure what it is. Is it Man of La Mancha?  Anyway, it's an interesting picture.

A nice idea (the Unity '08, not so much the McCain) but sadly not possible.

BTW: The picture in my signature is convict Jean Valjean from Les Miserables.

Well stylistically its a nice picture. After checking the URL it said Valjean and I can't fault anyone for promoting what is probably the best serious dramatic musical.

I'm pretty sure that the two logo images have been present in nclib's sig for at least as long as I've been a member here.  That's some longevity.

Very funny, nice to see the Pope can take hold of his minions even beyond the grave.

Not as good as Halt, Hammerzeit though. I cracked up every time I looked at that.

Pete Stark. He's my favorite congressman:

* was ranked as the most left-wing House member by National Journal in 2005, beating even McKinney
* called the US invasion of Iraq "an act of extreme terrorism"
* one of 21 House "nay" votes on a resolution expressing solidarity with Israel, and one of eight "nay" votes on a resolution condemning Hezbollah

He's also been a leader on various other issues- see the transcript of his excellent speech denouncing the flag "desecration" amendment.

oh, and Almanac of American Politics says: "Stark seems even at his most flamboyant to be expressing the views of most Democrats in the district." Cheesy

I'm not attracted to men anyway, but that dude is ancient besides.

As for Tweed, I find it sad that certain Democrats are still stuck on the fact that they lost 7 years on.
