Sometimes It Takes a Woman: Nikki Haley's Pre-Campaign Prep

After extensive work on behalf of Republican candidates in the 2022 midterm elections, former South Carolina Governor and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley launches a multistate book tour that includes the early primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada, and ends in her home state, itself an early primary contest.  She also plans speaking engagement at various Lincoln Day and Reagan Day dinners across the United States.  In the process, Haley meets with leading Republicans such as Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds, Iowa Senator Joni Ernst, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp to make her pitch for a possible endorsement.  Seeking to announce her candidacy some time in May or June of 2023, Haley intends to run as a conservative but pragmatic Republican who can unite the party and the country after "16 years of hate and division from the angriest voices on both sides."  Her platform will center on across the board tax cuts, fighting woke and age-inappropriate curriculum in schools, fighting violent crime and defending police, reducing the cost of living, and fighting national security threats abroad (including scrapping Biden's nuclear deal with Iran).  Though outspokenly pro-life, she will pledge to abide by the Dobbs decision and allow states to enact their own abortion laws.

February 2023
According to reports, Haley's book tour was well received by those in attendance.  During one event, at the Reagan Presidential Library in California, Haley was asked by a member of the audience whether or not she would run for president in 2024.  Haley simply responded, "I'm open to doing that but haven't decided yet.  Stay tuned."

March 2023
As Nikki Haley's book tour comes to an end, there is widespread speculation that she may run for president in 2024.  During the tour, Haley made stops in Iowa, where she met with Governor Kim Reynolds, and New Hampshire where she met with Governor Chris Sununu.  The tour also included a television appearance on Fox News, ostensibly an effort to sell her case to Republican primary voters.  While Haley has not yet declared her intentions for 2024, her recent activity is widely seen as laying the groundwork for a campaign.

April 2023
Nikki Haley came out swinging at a Lincoln Day dinner in Loudoun County, Virginia, ground zero in the fight over woke schools.  In her remarks to the numerous Republicans gathered for the event, Haley declared the following:

Quote from: Nikki Haley
My home state of South Carolina was the first slave state to secede after Abraham Lincoln was elected president.  Almost exactly a century and a half later, I became the state's first governor of color and first female governor.  As the daughter of Indian immigrants, my parents taught me that anything was possible for me in America, and I have proven them right. The American dream does not now any boundaries of race, sex, religion or ethnicity.  No matter what the left says, white privilege, male privilege and systemic racism are not realities in 21st century America.  I know because as a woman of color, I have been successful beyond anyone's wildest dreams.  To suggest otherwise is to insult the legacy of the brave men and women who fought to end slavery, Jim Crow and all other racist and sexist institutions in our country.

After her speech, Haley travelled to Richmond to meet with Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, offering her support for his efforts against woke education and reducing the cost of living in the Commonwealth.

May 2023
According to recent reports, Nikki Haley has been hiring staff in preparation for a likely 2024 presidential campaign.  Sounding more and more like a candidate, Haley recently appeared on NewsNation and declared, "Over the last sixteen years under Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and now Joe Biden, America has become angrier, more selfish, and more divided.  Those who profit politically and financially from pulling our country further apart have been in power for too long, and it's time for a change."  She also took time to comment on the activity of two other possible candidates.  Of Lin Wood's book tour, Haley stated, "People can question the president's health all they want.  But what evidence do they have that he's senile?  Liberals said the same thing about Reagan when he was president, and it was nothing but a conspiracy theory."  And of Kirsten Gillibrand, who was recently seen on the beach in South Carolina, Haley said, "Welcome to South Carolina, Senator Gillibrand.  I look forward to a possible discussion with you soon on the different visions for our country, and I hope you have a good time in our great state."

Quote from: Nikki Haley Statement on Michigan's Repeal of Right to Work, January 26, 2023
It is sad to see that the liberals who now control Michigan's state government have chosen to reinstate forced unionization.  Requiring workers to join a union violates the constitutional freedom of association, makes states less economically competitive and only benefits multimillionaire union bosses who stand to further line their pockets with union dues.  Let workers choose whether or not to join a union; don't force them to.

Quote from: Nikki Haley Response to Kari Lake's Attacks on Mike Pence
Whatever you think of Mike Pence, Kari Lake's attacks on him are a new low.  Mike Pence has been a steadfast voice for conservative governance, just as I have been.  Kari Lake, on the other hand, voted for liberals like John Kerry and Barack Obama and fought against our efforts to free Iraq from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein.  If anyone's conservative credentials need to be challenged, it's Kari Lake's, not Mike Pence's.

Quote from: Nikki Haley Response to Ro Khanna's University of South Carolina Speech
Ro Khanna is a dangerous, radical socialist who supported Bernie Sanders in 2016 and 2020.  He endorses defunding the police, grooming our children, teaching Marxist critical race theory in our schools, and taking away employer-provided health insurance.  America needs leaders who will pull us back from the cliff, not push us over it.

Quote from: Statement from Nikki Haley
Kari Lake has once again proven herself not to be a true conservative.  By attacking Mike Pence for favoring "tax cuts for the rich," she is repeating the same talking points the left has used against us for decades.  Unfortunately, this should not be surprising, because Lake was a liberal herself for years, voting for fellow liberals like John Kerry and Barack Obama.  Moreover, she is lying about me and my record.  Nobody has been tougher on the Chinese Communist Party than I am, and I proved it when I was UN Ambassador.  By attacking steadfast conservatives like myself and Vice President Pence, as well as by presenting a false dichotomy between supporting economic growth and fighting wokeness, Lake has shown her true liberal colors, and I regret my support for her gubernatorial campaign last year.

As conservatives and Republicans, we support tax cuts for all Americans, including the wealthy, because it is the surest way to promote economic grown and prosperity.  Punishing our small businesses for succeeding by taxing more of their hard-earned money is immoral and counterproductive.  We can create a more business-friendly environment in this country without supporting the woke agenda that has hijacked much of the corporate world.  True leaders like my friends, Governor Ron DeSantis and Governor Glenn Youngkin, have both done that, I intend to do that, and that is exactly what the next president needs to do.

Quote from: @NikkiHaley, Twitter
Kari Lake's lies and conspiracy theories should have no place in our party, and they expose her for the closet liberal she is.

Quote from: @NikkiHaley, Facebook
Kari Lake is just like Al Gore and Hillary Clinton, refusing to accept the outcome of an election she lost and declaring it stolen without any credible evidence.  That's what you should expect from a lifelong liberal who supported John Kerry and Barack Obama.

Lake stands for nothing except what her wealthy donors support.  We just can't trust her.

Nikki Haley Announces Her Candidacy for President in the 2024 Election
May 5, 2023
Columbia, South Carolina
Quote
Thank you, everyone.  It's good to be back here on the state grounds in South Carolina.  Over the last sixteen years, America has had to put up with one president after another dividing the country for their own political gain, from Barack Obama to Donald Trump, and now to Joe Biden.  All the while, America's problems have only gotten worse.  Inflation is now at 40-year highs thanks to the big-government policies of Joe Biden and the Democrats paying Americans not to go to work.  Violent crime is at 30-year highs as radical socialist DAs and AGs push to defund our police.  Woke Marxists are grooming our children for pedophilia by teaching age-inappropriate curriculum on sexuality and gender, and they are further teaching them to hate our country through critical race theory and reinstating racial segregation.  Meanwhile, the loudest and angriest voices on the far-right are discrediting the conservative cause in the minds of our voters and driving our country further down the path toward the woke left's radical Marxist vision.  And radical left-wingers are working to codify not only abortion on demand, but post-birth infanticide.  America is the greatest country in the history of the world, but make no mistake, we are in decline.  And I refuse to stand by and watch it happen.

As the daughter of Indian immigrants, I was taught that anything is possible in America, and my life has proven it to be true.  As Governor of South Carolina, I passed a sweeping conservative agenda, cutting taxes and regulations, protecting the sanctity of life, and improving education.  I worked with lawmakers in both parties to remove the divisive symbol that was the Confederate flag from these grounds I stand on today.  As President Trump's Ambassador to the United Nations, I went to bat for our country again, standing up to Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, Venezuela and all other tyrannical regimes that would threaten the security of America and the world.

Our current leadership in Washington is either too weak or scared to take on the challenges that face our country today.  Margaret Thatcher once said that if you want something said, ask a man, but if you want something done, ask a woman.  Sometimes it takes a woman to do the hard work.  And that is why I stand before you today to announce my candidacy to be the next President of the United States.

America faces many challenges today, and I intend to tackle them head-on.  I will scrap Joe Biden's dangerous and reckless nuclear deal with Iran on Day One.  I will stand up to the Chinese Communist Party for its manipulation of currency and its human rights abuses against the Uyghurs.  I will fight for the sovereignty of Israel, our friend and ally and the only liberal democracy in the Middle East, just as I did as UN Ambassador.

I will fight to protect the sanctity of life from conception to natural death.  That means defunding Planned Parenthood and passing federal legislation to outlaw the infanticide of abortion survivors.  I will work with the FDA to outlaw RU-486, the abortion pill.  And I will fight for federal legislation to require parental consent and notification for minors to have an abortion.

I will fight to ensure that our children are being educated, not indoctrinated.  My life story proves that white privilege and systemic racism are a myth in 21st century America, and I will  withhold funding to any school district that teaches critical race theory, reinstates racal segregation, or teaches age-inappropriate lessons about gender and sexualtity.  I will do whatever it takes to get woke, regressive curriculum out of the classroom.

I will stand up for our law enforcement.  When I am president, any state, county or municipality that defunds the police will itself be defunded by our federal government.  I will work to ensure that police officers who commit clear and egregious abuses are punished accordingly.

I will stand up for taxpayers.  I believe that you know how to spend your hard-earned money better than the government does, and I will work to cut taxes across the board so you can keep more of it.

And I will work to fight inflation and reduce the cost of living.  I will cancel Joe Biden's blank checks to people who refuse to work and support an all of the above approach to help reduce energy costs.

If you share my vision and believe America's best days can still be ahead, then I encourage you to join this fight.  Go contact your friends, family and neighbors and tell them about our campaign.  We're only at the beginning, but with enough hard work, together we can ensure that America's promise survives and is passed down to another generation.  Thank you, God bless you, and God bless the United States of America.

Nikki Haley: Red Hot Summer
For most of June, the Haley campaign focuses on building up her primary support in her home state of South Carolina, with a particular focus on fundraising.  Beginning the first week of July, Haley will begin a series of tours of early primary and caucus states, primarily Iowa and Nevada.  In Nevada, Haley will particularly work at outreach to Hispanics and Latinos, touting her "American success story" as a child of legal immigrants and her stance against critical race theory in schools.  This tour will include traditional rallies and fundraisers as well as town halls.  Throughout August and September, Haley undertakes an extensive series of town halls across New Hampshire, hoping that strong showings there and in South Carolina would give her greater momentum toward winning the nomination.  Throughout this period, Haley also holds fundraisers in various parts of the country.  Haley will also run TV ads in all four states emphasizing her life story, achievements, and policy priorities if elected.

Miami Republican Debate
1. An Opening Statement
Quote
For too long, our politicians on both sides of the aisle have played a game of divide and conquer.  Stir up your base, make the other side's base angry, and ignore everyone else.  But I want to bring Americans together.  As the daughter of legal Indian immigrants, I was taught that anything is possible in this country, and I've seen it firsthand in my own life.  I was the first female governor and the first governor of color in a state that was the first to secede after Abraham Lincoln's election.
I served in the Trump administration as UN Ambassador where I stood up for America and our allies against those who would see freedom snuffed out.  I'm running for president because I want to continue in that conservative policy agenda and bring our country together again.

2. Raise your hand if you believe that Donald J. Trump is the rightful winner of the 2020 Presidential Election (Say if you raised your hand and if you like, write one or two sentences)
Quote
I did not raise my hand because while I was proud to serve President Trump for four years as UN Ambassador, we need to be focused as a party on the future and not relitigating the past.  Even if the 2020 election was fraudulent, it is long over and Donald Trump is not going to be reinstated as president, whether you like that fact or not.

3. Who is your favorite Republican President in your lifetime? (Keep your answer concise, 2-4 sentences)
Quote
My favorite Republican president in my lifetime is Ronald Reagan because he understood the things that America needed when he was in office.  He came into office with sky-high inflation and a looming Soviet threat, and when he left office inflation was minimized for the better part of four decades and the Iron Curtain was on the brink of collapse.  It's that kind of conservative agenda of cutting taxes and standing up to our enemies that I want to replicate as president.

4. The United States has an out of control inflation problem. The cost of housing, food, energy, and gasoline is spiraling, what will you do to control inflation and bring down costs for working Americans?
Quote
The first thing I want to do to reduce the cost of living is to cut taxes for all income levels.
Government taxes too much, spends too much, and puts that money in all the wrong places. I believe that you know how to spend your hard-earned money better than the government does.  Second, I would stop the reckless, irresponsible blank checks that the Biden Administration gave during the pandemic that disincentivized work and led to the supply chain issues that helped create this inflation.  Third, I would reopen our country to offshore drilling.  President Biden kowtowed to his radical environmentalist supporters by cutting off permits for oil pipelines and offshore oil rigs.  I will reopen and reissue those permits and increase the fines for accidents.  I will make America energy-independent again, and I will make sure that Americans can once again afford the necessities of life.

5. Will you support a national abortion ban? Would it be after 15 weeks of pregnancy? 10 weeks? 6? Or would you prohibit all elective abortions?
Quote
Ideally, I would support a national ban on all elective abortions, but the voters in the midterm elections made clear that they are not yet willing to support this.  I think we need to take a gradual approach.  At this time, I support a national ban after 15 weeks, but I also will not interfere with states that have more permissive laws.

Ambassador, do you believe that Donald Trump was at-all responsible for the events of January 6th, and was it an illegal event?
Quote
The January 6th storming of the Capitol was absolutely illegal, no matter how you slice it.  In America, we debate and our discussions civilly; we do not resort to violence and rioting, and I find it ironic that so many of my opponents who claim to believe in law and order are endorsing or condoning the violence that occurred at the Capitol that day.  As for whether or not Trump was at all responsible, I believe that is an issue to be decided in the federal courts.  Let the judicial process play out, and if the President is tried, then let the jury reach their own verdict.

Gov. Haley's Rebuttal
Quote
Governor Noem, with all due respect, what you said is simply not true.  I was governor of South Carolina for six years before Donald Trump was elected and was considered a rising star in the party even then.  I'm proud of my service in the Trump Administration, but let's be real: it was Reagan who brought most of us into the GOP in the first place.

Haley Campaign Ad: "American Dream"
Airing in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada (including a Spanish-language version in Nevada)

Quote
Leftists love to tell us that America is built on white supremacy and unearned privilege.

Quote
As the daughter of Indian immigrants, I know that's not true because I've lived the American dream for myself.

Quote
I was proud to serve as Governor of South Carolina for six years, cutting taxes and spending and improving public schools. For four years I served as President Trump's UN Ambassador, fighting for American and our allies and standing up to bullies and tyrants.

Quote
I want to be your next president because I will fight for conservative values.  I will fight for lower taxes and the sanctity of preborn life.  I stand up for the sovereignty of Israel and America's national security.  I will fight like hell by telling our enemies at home and abroad to go TO hell.
And I will fight to ban woke race, sex, and gender ideology from our schools.

Quote
I'm Nikki Haley, and I approve this message because sometimes, it takes a woman to do the hard work that our country needs.

Nikki Haley's Black Outreach
A memo leaked over the summer by the Haley campaign shows that the former South Carolina governor and UN Ambassador is hoping to shore up her support in her home state by expanding her outreach to the state's large black population.  The message suggests that Haley will emphasize her support for school choice and law enforcement as well as her decision in 2015 to sign legislation removing the Confederate flag from the grounds of the state Capitol to position herself as a candidate who understands the interests of black voters; she will also emphasize how critical race theory in schools reinstates racial segregation and her desire to push back against it.  "We are the Party of Lincoln, the party that freed the slaves and ended Jim Crow," the memo reads, "And we will never allow racial segregation to be re-established in the name of 'equity.'"

Nikki Haley: The Road to Iowa and South Carolina
With recent polls showing Hawley nipping at Haley's heels nationally, many in the Haley campaign have urged the Ambassador to go negative, though Haley, fearing the backlash from Trump loyalists, has generally hesitated to do so.  Haley spends most of October and November holding fundraisers in various parts of the country, as well as multiday campaign tours of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina.  While in New Hampshire, Haley visits with Governor Chris Sununu to discuss, among other things, her vision for the country and make her pitch for a potential endorsement.  While in her home state of South Carolina, Haley campaigns particularly heavily in black communities, highlighting how Democrats have "failed black America in so many ways," and reminding them that she, as governor, had signed the bill removing the Confederate flag from the grounds of the state Capitol.  In Nevada, Haley has pursued a similar strategy, campaigning extensively for Hispanic support.

In early November, Haley makes a surprising announcement, declaring that she would not seek placement on the ballot in the Florida primary, a decision she explained, was due to DeSantis' home state advantage and desire not to split the Republican establishment vote in the third-most populous state.  The Ambassador then urged her supporters in Florida to back DeSantis instead.  Many observers saw this as a shot across the bow to the other candidates, particularly her more strongly Trump-aligned opponents, that she would do whatever it takes to get a more traditional Republican nominated, and rumors surfaced that Haley might even withdraw from the race.  Meanwhile, Haley ramped up her presence on Twitter and other social media outlets, but took brief time off for the holidays with her family

In December and January, Haley increased her ad buys in the four previously mentioned primary states, still running a mostly positive campaign.  The Ambassador still focused her heaviest efforts on New Hampshire, but as Iowa and Nevada drew closer, she began increasing her presence in those states as well.  Haley began targeting small donors in emails as well, asking for as little as $5 to support the campaign.

Statements from Nikki Haley

Quote from: Statement on the Stop the Censorship Act
For too long, Big Tech has used their power and influence over political discourse to censor Americans who are simply trying to make their voices heard, especially those with conservative viewpoints.  I strongly support the Stop the Censorship Act and I hope Congress passes it.  If not, then I hope to working with the next Congress to enact it as president.

Quote from: Statement on the Sanders-Tillis Act
I am very pleased that the Senate is trying to find a bipartisan solution to the abysmal state of the Department of Veterans' Affairs.  Under the Obama and Biden Administrations, the VA has neglected our veterans, undermining their health insurance coverage and becoming rife with political corruption.  I strongly support this bill.

Quote from: Statement on the Family Bill of Rights
Paid family and medical leave for all Americans is an admirable goal, but unfortunately, this bill does not allow small businesses who cannot afford such expenses to offer unpaid leave.  As such I regrettably cannot support this legislation.  As president, I'll work with Congress to pass a family leave act that will not harm our small businesses while still strengthening families.

1. Under President Biden America has witnessed a shocking border crisis, with total madness and chaos as thousands of people and unlimited drugs, fentanyl, cocaine, pours into the United States. What steps will you take to bring this crisis under control, and also, how do you approach immigration in general? Do we need controls on all immigration?
Quote
I am the daughter of Indian immigrants, and I know that we are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws.  Immigrants who want to come into our country should come legally, not illegally.  Every immigrant who attempts to cross our northern or southern border should be checked for legal status and deported immediately if they lack the proper documentation.  However, I do not think we should place any restrictions on legal immigration.  Every person who wants to come to this country for a better life should be welcomed as long as they do it legally, just like my parents were.  The Biden Administration has no desire to fix our broken immigration system.  As President, I will work with Congress to simplify our legal immigration process so that there is less incentive for immigrants to come illegally.  I would also establish a Border Task Force to examine other possible solutions to the illegal immigration crisis.

2. Raise your hand if you support cost-controlling reforms to entitlement programs that Senate and House Republicans such as Scott Perry and Jim Jordan are supporting. (You may write one sentence)
Quote
I would need further information about the legislation in question, therefore I cannot raise my hand at this time.

You're a strong supporter of the State of Israel. Do you support meeting with controversial Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir as a part of diplomatic discussions with Israel?
Quote
Unfortunately, I can't give a straight answer to that question because I would need to know the nature of the discussions that Israel is proposing.  If they include issues that are directly within Ben-Gvir's purview, then I would be open to doing so.  However, it would be reckless and dishonest of me to say definitively whether or not I would support it without knowing all the details.

3. Do you support continued monetary and weapons aide to Ukraine in their fight against Putin's Russia?
Quote
I unequivocally support continuing the supply of money and arms to Ukraine to defend against the Russian invasion.  Ukraine is fragile democracy that has been unjustly and illegally invaded by a dictator.  If we do not act, this conflict could potentially descend into World War III. And a threat to freedom anywhere is a threat to freedom everywhere.  However, I do not support the addition of American ground troops unless absolutely necessary. One of the things I saw up close and personal as UN Ambassador is that you can't crawl under a rock and pretend the rest of the world doesn't matter to America.  We need a strong presence on the world stage where we and our allies can stand up for America's interests against bullies like Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and Palestine.  Unfortunately, some of my opponents here on this stage want us to retreat and surrender.
Kari Lake railed against our efforts to liberate Iraq from Saddam Hussein, and it's because of that she voted for liberals like John Kerry and Barack Obama.  Senator Hawley is sympathetic to Putin and has said that he doesn't care what happens to Ukraine.  That's reckless and irresponsible
America needs to lead the world in standing up for freedom and democracy everywhere.

4. What will you do to end the spread of Marxism, woke ideology, and Critical Race Theory in America's public schools?
Quote
Again, as the daughter of Indian immigrants, I know firsthand that systemic racism is not a serious obstacle in 21st century America.  I was the first woman and the first person of color to serve as Governor of South Carolina, a state that was the first to secede from the Union after Abraham Lincoln's election.  That fact alone demonstrates just how far our country has come on race.  Critical race theory denies that progress and wants to take us back to an era of race essentialism that is no different from what the racist Democrats of old espoused.  It seeks to reinstate racial segregation in the name of "decolonizing white spaces," and in doing so it violates the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as well as the equal protection guarantees of the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments.  It is regressive, reactionary, racist and unconstitutional, and when I'm president I will direct the Department of Education on Day One to withhold funding from any school that teaches CRT or any concepts informed by it.  We need to teach our kids that the American Dream is real and that anything is possible for them in this country, and I know that because I've lived it.  I would also direct the Department to deny funding to schools that teach age-inappropriate curriculum about sexuality and gender.  Our kids should not be learning about sex and being encouraged to transition before they learn to read and write.  I will also work with Congress to pass legislation banning such woke curriculum from all American schools.

5. Do you believe that free trade is a net benefit for the American economy?
Quote
Yes, I believe free trade is a net benefit for the American economy.  That said, there are some countries, especially in the developing world where manufacturing costs are lower, that are trying to take advantage of us through our current trade deals.  We need to close those loopholes and keep free trade policies only with developed countries that are established American allies, such as Canada, the UK and Japan.

Nikki Haley Campaign Ad: "Leader"
Airing in Iowa
Quote
Kim Reynolds: As the first female governor in Iowa's history, I know what it takes to be a leader.  And so does Nikki Haley.  As Governor of South Carolina, she improved education and fought for taxpayers.  As UN Ambassador she stood up to bullies like China, Iran, North Korea and Palestine.

Quote
Marianette Miller-Meeks: I support Nikki Haley because she has what it takes to be president.  She says what she means and means what she says.  You can trust her.  She'll fight for Iowa values, not Washington values.

Quote
Nikki Haley: As president, I'll fight like hell for this great country.  I'll work for lower taxes, ban woke education and restore trust in America abroad.  I'm Nikki Haley, and I approve this message because together, we can make sure that America's best days are still ahead.

Airing from early December 2023 through early February 2024 on TV and the web, this ad is targeted toward women of all age groups, and will air most frequently during network shows (Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, The Young and the Restless, etc.) and cable channels similarly targeted toward women (Hallmark, Lifetime, OWN, etc.)

Nikki Haley Campaign Ad: "Democrats' Favorite Republican"
Airing in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina

Quote
Voiceover: Why is Kari Lake Democrats' favorite Republican?  Maybe it's because she lost to a liberal Democrat when she ran for Governor of Arizona, then took a page out of Al Gore and Stacey Abrams' playbook by claiming the election was stolen.  Lake admitted to voting for liberals like John Kerry and Barack Obama, and she betrayed our men and women in arms by attacking their efforts to free Iraq from the tyranny of Saddam Hussein.  She even attacked the service of a true American hero, John McCain.  And Lake echoes liberal talking points, declaring that conservative tax cuts are "for the rich."  Even President Trump called her a phony.  Now she wants to Republicans to nominate her for presdient, hoping they'll ignore her liberal record.  Don't be fooled.  Kari Lake: she's just not a conservative.  Paid for and authorized by Nikki Haley 2024.

Airing on radio from early December 2023 through early February 2024, this ad will air most frequently on radio formats popular with men and women aged 50+.

Nikki Haley Campaign Ad: "Stand"
Airing in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina

Quote
Voiceover: As Attorney General of Missouri, Josh Hawley refused to investigate sexual assault allegations by Catholic priests and wasted millions.
Graphics on Screen:
"Attorney: Hawley Refused to Investigate Roman Catholic Church as Attorney General -FOX News, October 10th, 2023"

Voiceover: As a Senator, he stood with Vladimir Putin over Ukraine and attacked our efforts to protect freedom abroad.

Quote
Voiceover: Now Josh Hawley wants to be president.  How can we trust him now?

Nikki Haley stands with America, not Russia.  As President Trump's UN Ambassador, she tood up to Putin and fought for America and its allies.  As Governor of South Carolina, she worked to cut government waste and fight political corruption.  And she'll do the same as president.  Nikki Haley will fight for you.

Quote
Haley: I'm Nikki Haley, and I approve this message.

This ad will air most frequently in New Hampshire.

Nikki Haley Withdrawal Announcement
Quote
Over these last few months, I have been tremendously privileged to meet with Americans from all walks of life and to hear their concerns about the future of our country.  But after the results from Iowa, it is clear that the only way for conservatives to win this election and take back our country is to be unified and to reject the bigoted hateful, rhetoric of extremists on both sides.  And in order for us to ensure that such a candidate does not win our party's nomination for president, we cannot allow the vote of true, freedom-loving conservatives to be divided among multiple candidates.  For that reason, I announce that I am ending my campaign for president and endorsing Ron DeSantis to be our nominee in the general election.  Governor DeSantis is a proven leader who will fight as hard for America as he's fought for Florida.  I will participate in his campaign in any way I can.  I'm proud to give him my support and I urge all my voters and delegates to support his campaign in the upcoming contests.  Thank you, God bless all of you, and God bless the United States of America.
