With the news that there likely will be no special, I am ending my campaign at this time.

I'm ending my campaign for Lincoln General Court. For some reason, Labor seems to explicitly hate me. Maybe it's posting elsewhere on the forum, or maybe it's because I left Labor, but they are going out of their way to stop me in ways they don't do with other candidates.

It's literally an IRV election: I assume you understand how that all works?

IRV exists precisely so that multiple parties/candidates with potentially overlapping interests can run without costing each other votes in the final rounds.

Guess your narrative is more fun, though...

10 vs 27 people means that NYE has no chance versus you.

You literally forced someone to run who has no interest in serving and preferred that candidate over someone who wants to run and wants to serve, for the sole reason of owning the Paxites.

10 versus 19 in the last election between the two parties (which excludes another 30 voters in what was a very close election), but no reason to let facts get in the way of yet another one of your convenient narratives!

Also, wasn't this you just a few hours ago saying this about Solid's run?

He wants to run and he's "disgusting and annoying" for it...or he doesn't want to run.

He obviously meant he doesn't agree with Solid's running just because the party wants him to and the implication is that he must want to run deep down if he's willing to follow orders to run, but if it's more fun to use your narrative, please carry on.

Again twisting my words... some people clearly have taught you well how to frame a narrative... in politics.

but making people run who clearly don't want to is not done

And people who claim they don't want to run when they in fact want to run are just dishonest people, and dishonesty is yes disgusting and annoying. There are no other words for that.

Be honest or don't be a slave of someone else.

I will be a candidate for Lincoln General Court in this weekend's special election.

If you want inactivity, vote Solid
If you want lack of enthusiasm, vote Solid

Quote's in Lokcord: visible to all. I stand by my original statement.

Not sure why you're yelling at me (let alone taking his side, when he's just as happy sniping from your ranks if/when possible and was spearheading his own candidate against your own party's candidate)!

Based on census rolls and easily predictable behavior from the PAX Chair (and those he can influence; excluding principled longstanding PAX members) of the 15th incarnation of "we're great, we're the new big thing - but we'll only run in multi-seat and/or uncontested elections b/c that's where we get the biggest ego boosts w/o any work [in an elections sim]", the Labor Party has done for the Federalist Party what others could not: given you a first-place opportunity to gain back your first regional seat (just like Labor got its first back after my election last weekend).

Wow, we did really well for a write-in.

While there's no telling what would have happened had I stayed in as a declared candidate, I think my performance this weekend, and all of the abstentions from Labor's side should make them think twice about how they interact with others in our system.

While I will concede this race and congratulate the winner, assuming it's Fairbol (I offer no congratulations to Solid, since didn't he want to run, and I doubt he's going to show up yo a single vote), I look forward to whatever my future holds.

Thanks for running a "solid" (sorry, had to do it) campaign!

I'm honored to accept the appointment to the Senate.

I look forward to representing the people of Atlasia. I have a lot to learn still, so this will be a learning experience for me, but I look forward to serving with distinction for a long time to come.
