In April 2007, New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine was in a serious car accident because he did not have his seatbelt on in his state vehicle on his way to confront radio host Don Imus over racist remarks towards the Rutgers women's basketball team.

If God forbid he was incapacitated and had to resign, Senate President Richard Codey would have to be Acting Governor again as he was after Jim McGreevey left...

Would Gov. Codey have beaten Chris Christie in 2009, or would the political bosses have found another Democrat?
