I figured Russ Feingold would remain prominent in a Kerry wins 04/loses 08 scenario, since he'd easily win re-election in 2010 under a Republican administration. But I'm not sure how effective he'd be against a President McCain thanks to their legislative history, even if his term is wracked with economic malaise and that refrain of bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran. Perhaps he'd serve as a prominent voice in the Senate keeping McCain to account, and be a shoo-in for 2016 if Hillary blows 2012.
