Charest now trails by nearly 4% in Sherbrooke. I think he may lose. PLQ leads in seats again.

Boisclair is reelected. Mercier remains tantalizingly close for QS.

Currently 45-44-36, PLQ-ADQ-PQ. Charest still trails. If he loses reelection, there may be an ADQ minority (with the PLQ is thrown into chaos) even if the PLQ wins 45 seats to the ADQ's 44.

47-40-38. It will be a Liberal minority, but Charest has probably lost. QS could still win Mercier.

I just got back from work, and... wow.  That was not exactly what I expected.

I think that the ADQ kind of did get more than 15 seats. Tongue

Will a Liberal resign to give him a seat in a by-election, or will he simply resign as Premier? Interesting.

46-42-37 looks like the likely result, but 46-41-38 is still possible. The ADQ is going to have an interesting time dealing with a lot of their throwaway candidates who were swept into office, but at least they don't have to govern.

Any chance of a coalition as opposed to a minority government or are the three parties that uncooperative with one another for that to happen?

Canada just doesn't have coalitions. It's a sort of unwritten rule. The PLQ will get enough ADQ support to govern for at least a few months, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's another election this year.

I'll be curious whether the ADQ will impress or whether they'll remind people why they didn't vote for them much last time.

The last seat was just called for the PQ.  The official seat breakdown is 46-42-37.

I think CBC should retract giving Sherbrooke to the PQ. Charest is within 110 votes with 19 polls left!

Oh, really?  That's interesting.

EDIT: Scratch that, he's actually now leading, and by quite a bit.

Lucky bastard.
