The Emerson poll revealed that name recognition for both Bashaw and Serrano-Glassner is next to nothing. The race is going to be almost completely decided by the lines. In office block counties, it really wouldn't be surprising if one of the no-name candidates gets placed first and then wins just through that minor bias.

This thread has more pages than NV, WI, MI, PA, OH, MT, TX, FL, MD, and only slightly one less than AZ (which was heavily boosted by Sinema Indpendent discussion). Why is Atlas so obsessed with a Safe D race over the elections that will actually decide the balance of power? There are a lot of NJ posters on this forum but still weird.

Only a few of those (NV, OH, MD) have actual notable primaries, and none of those states draw out the process of the primary nearly as much with the county-by-county addition the line involved, plus the drama of the lawsuit this time around.

It’s early April, there isn’t really much useful information that can be said about any of the general elections right now.

The primary is incredibly unique. What other state has an active party machine that tried to get the Governor's wife elected, and failed!

Atlas also cares about the political process beyond just the generic top-line information on elections (one of the many reasons I like it here!), and so the conversation about the County line, and the effort to defeat it, is a very interesting and unique side to the primary that no other race has.

So the NJ Globe will keep that article up but they'll delete the one about Brian Stelter running for school board within a few hours of posting it? Huh.

I don't think this needs to be said, but obviously conflating the county line with Donald Trump is both dangerous and a false-equivalency.

This interaction, lmao:

"Judge Jordan: Are you arguing that office-block ballots are unconstitutional?

Tambussi basically says yes

Judge Freeman (I think): So then are elections in 49 of 50 states unconstitutional?"
