Just as rising inflation wasn't Biden's fault, neither is falling inflation to his credit.

CPI is controlled by the Fed's monetary policy and nothing else.

And? Voters credit or criticize him anyway, depending on how it goes. Biden releasing oil reserves certainly helped to a degree though.

The Fuzzys of the world blamed Biden for inflation rising, now they can do it for inflation falling.

Oil prices were high earlier this year because refineries were offline, not from a lack of US drilling.

And my point wasn't that voters are right in assigning blame, only that its unfair to do so.

If you don't believe me, look at how much the debt and equity markets move when Fed governors speak. Or during rate decisions. Or when there are slight changes in hike expectations. I can't remember the market reacting to the 'Inflation reduction act' or whatever garbage Trump tried to come up with because its meaningless.

So much for Republicans being the better party for the economy.

I cannot even begin to tell you how furious I would be if this happened after a GOP tsunami based on inflation. It would be yet another instance of Democrats having horrible luck.

Thankfully, this probably just makes Biden look even better after now garnering the title of being President during the best in-power party midterm showing since 1948.

And Warnock can use this to now finally fight back better on the economy in the runoff next month.
