I am interested to see how NC Supreme Court election results will compare to Budd/ Beasley results. There seems to be a lot of money behind the 2 Dem candidates (based on the fact that the past couple of weeks, I have seen more ads for the 2 Dem Supreme Ct candidates than I have for Beasley. (Interestingly, some PAC is even running the dishonest Judge soft of crime ad against the 2 republican candidates (judge X overturned conviction of dangerous child predator, etc).... which I thought was somewhat humorous- considering all the misleading ads of this type Budd has run attacking Beasley.

But 2/7 NC supreme court seats will be decided in todays election (6 year terms).

*Its worth nothing  that prior to running for Senate... Cheri Beasley won 2 statewide Supreme Court elections (2008 & 2014)... and only lost her 3rd (in 2020) by 400 votes.

These are really the positions that shouldn't be publically elected. Especially in times of hyperpartisanship.

I completely agree that state Supreme Court Justices should not be elected.

There's basically no chance of Dems winning both and keeping control.
