On August 28, 1844, Karl Marx is hit by a car crossing the street in Paris on his way to the Café de la Régence to meet with Engels for the second time. He dies before he arrives at the hospital.

How is the world different today?

How could he be hit by a car in 1844? I believe that we wouldn't even be seeing the internal combustion engine for another 40 years.

Woah... hang on... is this an alternate history about Marx or about the internal combustion engine having been invented half a century early?

eh, make sure Engels is killed too-and that anyone who believes in that line of thinking is PUNISHED WITH FIRE (as a safeguard).  Then a liberal economy allows for prosperity to flow, eventually Europe becomes peaceful and America does also.

China and India and Djbouti however...

He didn't say "motorcar", sillies.

World history would in no way significant detail be different, except for a couple of roads and places etc that would be named for a different writer.
