Is there a county more privileged in America than Dane?
Non existent poverty
Immune to recessions because everyone works for UW and/or other public employee
No crime
Extremely nice people, no social pathologies such as out of wedlock births, bad k-12 schools, etc
Streets are the cleanest I have seen in a major Us city
Absolutely beautiful surrounded by 2 bodies of water
If you grew up in Dane, you won the life lottery that few others can say they did
Never really thought about it, but there’s definitely a reason it’s growing so fast.
Fairfax County is also one with a lot of positives (low levels of crime and poverty, recession-proof economy due to the large number of government-related jobs, easy access to a big city) but with less harsh winters than Dane.
