Probably the fact that she's lead in every poll ever done but one a while ago and it's New York State. I'm just worried about what her underperforming would do to other Democrats on the ballot around the state.

To be fair, the only poll from what I can tell recently that actually had a somewhat realistic party ID sample was the Siena +11 poll. (would have to take a look at the Civiqs/Bold Decisions ones)

Most of the ones that have shown it closer, like this, SurveyUSA, Q-Pac, etc. have had oddly more GOP samples, but like Pollster said before, a lot of this seems likely towards nonresponse bias.

(i.e. the SurveyUSA sample in late August was over D+20 and the October sample was D+8)

She's got a "D" next to her name in a very blue state.  From what it sounds like, many downstate will hold their nose and click the dial next to her name because they just won't accept a republican leading the state, but that doesn't say much.

You have to wonder if she can really make it better over the next four years and I think the relationship with Adams is a problem too.

She will win, but it's going to be a hold-nose vote and I doubt many in NY have confidence in her in general.

I hope you’re right. It would be nice to see her have a win on par with 2018.

What about her do you like, or is it that she's got a "D" next to her name like I alluded to before?

Every time I see or hear her speak, she has a deer in the headlights look and sounds lost. "Today, I support this...tomorrow...yes, we'll fight crime".

She and Adams sound exactly alike and that's not a compliment

She doesn’t come off as an out of touch elitist like Cuomo did.

Yeah, she's pretty awful. I hope she doesn't run for another term after this.

I don't think she's been a bad leader.

If Hochul wins this year, and we assume that her term goes badly, is it possible that Republicans finally manage to win in 2026? Or will she merely be ousted in a primary and succeeded by a more likeable Democrat?

I don't think it will but the most likely person I could see ousting her in a primary is Tish  James.

But James isn't that popular herself, if I'm correct.

I don't really understand some people who don't like her - what has she even done to make people have such strong opinions? She seems like she's just been a mainstream normal Dem up to this point.

Oh yes she is. If she was the nominee shed win easily.
