This race is essentially a done deal, with several polls now coming out and finding Lamont up by double digits. Moving CT-Gov from Likely D to Safe D.

For sure underscores the point that the 2018 election was merely an anomaly and just a result of Malloy's extreme unpopularity.

I still remember riding with this guy in '06 when he tried to take out Lieberman (and did in the primary at least). He's a bit of a goof in some ways but good for him nonetheless.

He was also one of Obama's Co-Chairs in Connecticut in 2008 and the infrastructure he built for his 2006 Senate campaign is credited with helping Obama win in Connecticut against Hillary.
