Current GOP pickup count in the House is five. They've flipped FL-4 (Bean), FL-7 (Mills), FL-13 (Luna), VA-2 (Kiggans) and GA-6 (McCormick) so far.

Anybody have any last-minute predictions for WA SEN and OR GOV before polls close in 13 minutes?
WA-SEN is Murray+6, Oregon Gov is Kotek+5. Gonna predict that, anyway...let's see the results as they come in.

ok so D's control the senate and R's the house
what benefit does this have over R's controlling both ie the senate by 1-2 seats?

does some green legislations get passed?

It's looking doubtful that that can be called tonight.

Pennsylvania as a blue state and Florida as a deep red state.

Man, it feels like the 60s again or something.

Democrats are the party of the working man again. I'm tempted to switch back to red.

You'd look better in maroon, just saying.

If I were a socialist, sure. But in truth I'm really not.

The Needle has moved from a 51R-49D Senate to 50-50.

Separately: NBC calls it for Hassan.

But reportedly subtract one for Steve Chabot going down?

Is a D House and R Senate theoretically possible?
Yes, but it's becoming steadily more unlikely. Would probably require Rs to do well in AZ, GA, and NV.

Kornacki says Democrats might retain control of the House.

Wow, very underrated - Cumberland County, which has been trending left recently, is 85% in and only Oz +4. Trump +10.

Also, another big victory tonight: With around 70%+ of the vote in, Kentucky has rejected adding an abortion ban to their constitution 54/46. Even traditionally rural, Conservative America rejects the radical "Pro-Life"/Anti-Choice position consistently when given a direct say.
This ranks as among the most surprising moments of the night. There must have been blowout margins in places like Louisville.

Not really Huh

Kentucky as I said up above; was never part of the Evangelical Southern Baptist state group like Alabama, South Carolina. Those states were the ones who began to shift Republican in 1964.

Kentucky is more populist. And part of the New Deal Coal tradition of Appalchia. Even in Reagan's 1984 landslide, Mondale managed to get 41 percent of the Vote in Kentucky.

And of course, you have Andy Beshear as the Governor.

And only one of these was actually drawn to be a competitive district.

Another key call by CNN, as IA-Sen has been called for Chuck Grassley, an important Republican hold. So far, no seats have been flipped in the Senate.
