Is there any particular reason why the NYT maps are un-clickable?

Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, but does anybody know how Florida counts so freaking fast?  It's amazing, especially compared to here in AZ or in CA.
They count absentee Ballots ahead of time.

After the 2000 election I think they passed a bunch of laws streamlining and simplifying their voting system.

CNN Exit Poll Ohio
Vance 50.7
Ryan 48.3

If that is accurate Republicans are in for a bad night with White Voters.

This just seems so counter-intuitive to me. If this is somehow correct, I think it's a good ole-fashioned Candidate Quality situation rather than an actual reflection of white voters nationwide.

Now Joy Reid is saying Ohio is not gone for Democrats but Florida is.

The only reason I'm watching MSNBC is Steve Kornacki, and at this rate I'm not sure it will be enough for much longer.

That kind of result would flip PA and WI (Doubtful it'll happen, but...)

I wouldn't say that about WI at least. Vance is a terrible enough and Ryan a strong enough candidate to make a Kerry-esque/Kander-esque loss in OH believable, but in Wisconsin the Rs probably have the stronger candidate.

If you game out the exit poll right now... Beasley is down 4.5-5 in NC but Ryan and Vance are about tied....

This is by far my biggest complaint about the site. It seems so intuitive.

I have to say I'm feeling better than I was at this point on election night 2016/20. Not saying Dems will get a miracle or anything, just that Rubio winning the Miami-Dade EV hurts my soul a lot less than seeing Biden up single digits there two years ago.

First county I spotted with 98% of the anticipated vote reported is Daviess County, IN. IF all the votes are actually in, Young won it 82-15. Trump won it 80-18.

Extrapolating to the whole country ( Roll Eyes ), that suggests a good night for Republicans, but no tsunami?

They can't call it until all the polls have closed.  The Central Time Zone part (the Panhandle) closes at 8pm EST.

This.  They took such a black eye over the 2000 debacle that they revamped the whole election system.

If that's true (for the hundredth time, big if), we're in for a confusing night.
