I was always a nerd in high school, but there were always the math club kids, or the programmers, or the art kids to match my level of nerdiness. Now, in 8th grade, i was the hugest nerd in the school, indubitably. I mean, I remember having an Al Gore campaign sticker on my book bag in like 2002.

Haha. lol

Everybody at my school knows I am a Democrat, and most consider me either a Communist or a Socialist, but some really don't think I care that much about it, because of my anti-Hillary wise cracks, and my fake "love" for Ron Paul.

Xahar is probably the smartest 13 year old I've ever "met". The contrast between him and say Evilmexicandicatator is confounding

I completely scare the hell out of people at school when I pull out my tomes on Napoleon during the announcements. That's all I'll say.

Um, when I was 13 I tackled Caro's Master of the Senate.

How was it? I might get it next time I go to the library (this weekend, probably).

It was incredible...and it took me two months.  Caro has a roughly 150 page intro explaining pretty much everything that happened in the Senate prior to LBJ's election, and the concluding fight (The Civil Rights Act of '57) is ~300 pages long.  (And the only thing I really remember is that LBJ offered Westerners a dam somewhere called Hell's Canyon in return for their support...it was a long time since I read that book).

Really not that interesting.

BTW, I was 14, not 13, because it was the summer after 9/11, and I turned 14 just after 9/11.

God, that seems like a long time ago.

Thanks for the recommendation. I was able to get through Gibbon, so I think I'll be able to handle it.

But that means you massively violated the ToS when you registered. Not that it matters anymore. Wink

The fact that SPC is a kid is actually reassuring for me. Grown people can't be that crazy, right?

I am quite confident I am not the youngest, but I might be the oldest. Tongue I along with Ronald Reagan were friends of Thomas Jefferson. We both told him he needed to budget his finances more.

You probably are the oldest. Unless you're like my mom, whose youngest brother is 4 years older than she is.

Rush Limbaugh is one day older than I am, if that helps. I won't delve too far into your little snippet of family history. Smiley

So, in four years, you can run for the state legislature, right?

lol, I certainly can, but considering the amount of work I did to elect the first Democrat in our district in 25 years, and the work I will do this year to re elect him, I dont think running against him in two cycles would be very wise. Grin

For State legislature, I'm PA-130, represented by David Kessler (D).
