Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) husband filed for divorce Wednesday on the grounds that the marriage is “irretrievably broken,” according to court documents. 


Perry Greene is also asking the Floyd County Superior Court to seal the divorce proceedings, “because the parties’ significant privacy interest in sealing the records outweighs the public’s miniscule interest in access to said records.”

The filing contends that “sensitive personal and financial information” will likely be revealed throughout the case, “which would negatively impact the parties’ privacy interests.” 

Perry Greene’s divorce petition requests an equitable division of the pair’s assets and debt. The filing notes that he and his wife have already separated.

That's not going to happen, unfortunately. GA-14 is Titanium Safe R. The only way Greene will lose is if she's ousted in the primary, and she won her last primary with nearly 70% of the vote. She fits her district like a glove.

Though, regarding Depp/Heard, I maintain it wasn't as black-and-white as the public consensus figured it was - I suspect there was some degree of mutual abuse, and Depp was hardly entirely blameless in the proceedings. Now naturally we shouldn't automatically believe women when they claim abuse and not believe men when they do the same, but I do genuinely think it was a case of mutual abuse, where both Depp and Heard were quite abusive with each other (and remember - Heard might be an actor, but Depp is too).
