My God what a cynical piece of s***. He's seriously claiming he was scared for his family's safety......from a process server......who loudly and clearly identified himself.

Anyways I thought real Texas republican men whipped out the AR-15's when their families are being threatened and Stand Their Ground?

I don't know if I buy that he ran away to avoid being served. He is a statewide elected official - it's not like he can hide for long.

Isn't Paxton under indictment for something?

Isn't Paxton under indictment for something?

Yup, according to Wikipedia because of "bribery, abuse of office and other crimes". Both concerning his tenure as AG and the time before taking office in 2015. That's also why he drew two serious primary challengers (George P. Bush was one, other a former TX Supreme Court judge) and why he was forced into a runoff for renomination. Unfortunately, the TX GOP nominated him again. So much for being the pro "law & order" party.

I can't believe I'm defending a Bush for the 2nd time in around the span on a week but I wish P. Bush would've won the primary with hindsight. Unfortunately most people are too into partisan football to care when their preferred candidate is in legal trouble.

I just drove by Angela Paxton's office a few minutes ago; should I have been on the lookout for any outlaws?
