THE CRACKING DOWN ON GANGSTALKING ACT

SECTION I — Title
This legislation may be cited as the Cracking Down on Gangstalking Act.

SECTION II — Definitions
1. 'Gangstalking' is defined in this act as organized group harassment, often organized online, against an individual, through means such as SWATting, doxxing, libel, slander, and harassing the target and their loved ones in real life.
2. 'SWATting' is defined in this act as making a hoax call to law enforcement to trick emergency services into showing up at an innocent individual's address, often by falsely claiming that the individual has committed murder or another felony; this can be done to disrupt the victim's life or, in more extreme cases, to put them at risk of physical harm.
3. 'Doxxing' is defined in this act as leaking private personal information about an individual, often with the intent of getting them harassed, SWATted, or otherwise put at risk.

SECTION III — Cracking Down on Gangstalking
1. Due to the inherent risk of harm to the victim, SWATting is to be prosecuted as attempted voluntary manslaughter in the region of Lincoln. If the victim is killed, this shall be upgraded to voluntary manslaughter.

2. Doxxing is to be prosecuted as a form of harassment in the region of Lincoln. The maximum punishment for it shall be up to twelve (12) months in jail and/or a fine up to $2,500.

3. Gangstalking is to be prosecuted as a form of harassment in the region of Lincoln. The maximum punishment for leading organized gangstalking shall be up to twelve (12) months in jail and/or a fine up to $2,500. The maximum punishment for partaking in organized gangstalking shall be up to twelve (12) months on probation and/or a fine up to $1,000.

4. This legislation shall take effect immediately.

This bill cracks down on forms of online harassment that can threaten the target's real life, namely gangstalking/group harassment, SWATting, and doxxing. As we enter a new, more internet-reliant era, it is important to protect our populace from the new, often life-threatening forms of abuse that can come with it. The bill enacts punishments that are harsh, but fair, to protect Lincolnites.
