Do we have a good definition of what is meant by 'defense related activities'?

I assume it was part of some budget sim but the twelve intervening years have not been kind to whatever the state of those links are further up that thread.

Provided they don't overlap or conflict, there is nothing to preclude it and it can save a lot of time. I was doing this as far back as 2010.
