I don't think he is, heel make for a good sappy moment towards the end of the season, though Bauer seemed to do his best to hit him in the vitals.

Yeah definitely true. I guess they just needed someone to fill the role of "brown guy who gets shot". At least they didn't use Arnold Vosloo as an Arab, he's actually Polish. But yes he was obviously Indian.

Definitely I like Mike Novick his character is great but I doubt they'd bring him back again.

As for Curtis getting shot Jack definitely made the right decision. Assad seems to be acting rather decently for a former terrorist and has helped them massively, he couldn't get Curtis take him down because of previous actions.

Then again I never really liked Curtis.

Why? Season 5 was really the only season he did anything; in all the others he just stood outside the President's door and escorted him to various places.

My bad--I started in season 4--and don't really remember him.  I'm gonna try and start back at one and work up--I had thought he was new to season 5 (and w/ the Logans gone-thus obsolete).

AFIK, the producers have confirmed that Aaron Pierce will return in Day 6 (and thus be the only character other than Bauer to star in all series), though only in a minor role.
