It was one of the most unusual of the former British colonies, given it's current economic status to still retain the ban. So very welcome. There was a recent court ruling that called the law effectively unenforceable which was probably the final straw.

So they encouraging more gay sex? I mean, the best way to get people to stop having sex is for them to get married. What do you think would happen if the government bans gay marriage but explicitly legalizes gay sex? You are practically encouraging the man orgies.

The law has not been enforced in decades with the goverment offical postion being it would not prosecute under the law.
