This isn't exactly an amazing poll for Trump. This was conducted all post-raid and he's still in a dead heat with DeSantis. And chances are he won't be polling nearly as well once the rally-round-the-flag effect is in the rear view.

And while it's true this is DeSantis's home state, it's also Trump's now, and he crushed Rubio here in 2016 back when he was still a New Yorker.

Trump winning women while losing men... lol.

I did an Instagram poll a few months back and found that my male friends overwhelmingly wanted DeSantis, while my female friends were more split between Trump and DeSantis.  I wonder if there's something to that.

Nominating Trump addresses the issues Republican women care about (immigration, crime), while nominating DeSantis addresses the major issue Republican men care about (the possibility of premarital sex with women who aren't Republicans).

Well usually there is the stereotype that males esp. in households where the male is still dominant are more likely to be high-information voters, so care also more about economic matters and have a better economic understanding while women in that case and especially historically tended to be low information voters, and in that case they would vote for what they basically already know and DeSantis is something new (the challenger) while Trump is what they know and essentially the incumbent of the moral leadership of the Republican Party, which would also explain trumps increasing appeal among certain hispanic groups.

Secondly a non college educated person is more likely to be a low information voter in that case too. I think women are also more likely - especially if they're conservative or republican and at age - to be non-college educated than men simply due to gender inequality, not having the same chances as males when they were kids or young adults.
