Was the Mar-A-Lago Raid the right thing to do?

Honestly i am not sure if this was the right thing to do, but it isn't clear yet why his home was raided. Based on some of the suggestions that were made... (classified US documents?), this hasn't something to do with jan 6th. I think this was a mistake and will backfire on the Democrats. It's basically an attack on democracy from the left with the goal to eliminate a presidential candidate for 2024, unless there are seriously good reasons to do this, but i'm not convinced of that based on the information we know.

Eitherway, this is a gift to the GOP, they will enjoy spinning this in their favour and it is a further blow to the trust of essential democratic institutions during times where those are already under threat.

Absolutely, it’s the best thing to happen in US politics since the 1/6 fiasco. Trump needs to be taken down enough to cause lasting damage in a Republican primary but with enough clout to take enough infrastructure away to salvage 2024 as much as possible against the Republicans.

Wikipedia describes it as a raid, but last time i checked the article was nominated for deletion. I don't know the exact reasons (but probably the wiki page has also been used for political purposes).

If the media leaks are correct and the search is related to the potential mishandling of classified documents or violations of the Presidential Records Act, then this looks like a case of prosecutorial overkill.  It's far from clear why that couldn't have been handled cooperatively, or at most with a subpoena.  Trump had already voluntarily returned 15 boxes of documents to the National Archives back in January.

I agree with that. I assume that too, but so far we have no proof or evidence. We don't know why the FBI was there.

Absolutely, the evidence was apparently there and subsequently approved by a judge.

People need to stop feeding the narrative whether it was the right thing to do for Biden or the Democrats. This was conducted by a law enforcement agency under regular guidelines and there is zero evidence for any political interference. It wasn't upon Biden, Harris, Pelosi or whoever in the Democratic Party to decide that. If anyone is responsible, it's Donald Trump himself because he apparently broke the law. He, his cultist supporters and other apologists need to stop blaming Biden or Democrats of rank and file for his problems. He brought this upon himself and it wouldn't have happened if he played by the rules.
