Genuine hell.

Unfortunately I think the timing works so inflation and the economy will rebound around the time he takes office so he will get credit for it and the Dems won’t see much of a benefit in the ‘26 midterms
In 2018, the economy was doing quite good yet Democrats took the house. It almost seems like the economy benefit is negated with Trump, due to him being Trump.

Fauci announced a while back that he was retiring in 2023 anyway.

We got lucky with the people who had his ear the first time around. In a bid to go as red meat as possible with his cabinet, he probably has some old neocon advising him at just the wrong time and we end up in Iran. That's not to say a Democrat would shy away from an opportunity to "contain" the imagined Russo-Chinese axis of evil either, but Trump isn't the peace candidate.

I do not know what to expect.

I am concerned that Trump 47 would be a President that would foolishly seek to settle old scores.  While the people he'd settle them with would deserve everything they get, the result would likely not be the best for America.

I will vote for Trump if he is nominated, but I do not, at this time, support Trump for the nomination in 2024.  I truly believe that someone else should be nominated (and someone much younger).
