First executive actions look pretty good. Maybe she can get federal law for paid family leave passed?

I hope CoS Terry McAuliffe overrules Howard Dean here.

McAuliffe & Hillary I'd to see summon all Congressional Leaders to the WH and find a compromise.

And if after that Kyl & Senate Republicans still obstruct they then could put them on the spot.

I basically agree with this one. A wider compromise here also reduces the risk of being repealed in the future.

Lmao, the Blago saga still happened. Wonder whether Quinn still holds on in 2010 here.

Justice Obama sounds great, though that probably removes him as presidential contender forever.

The second proposal looks good, it was similar than the one I had in my TL (which ultimately failed, because I thought it was unrealistic to get passed). However, 15 electoral votes seems a somewhat small number. Of course, this only deals with the Clinton vs. Bush election here and even would have changed actual 2000, though a larger gap such as actual 2016 would still not be enough to "correct" the electoral vote overall.

Lmao, Trump will indeed be fun.

Interesting that Coakley wins here. I guess she's definitely winning the next regular relection here. So Liz Warren never happens.

I doubt the New Electoral Reform will be ratified BUT props to Pelosi, Boehner, Reid and Kyl for at least trying.

Yeah, will probably fail in the State Legislatures.

Predicting a Clinton vs. Romney race which becomes another nailbiter. Or Romney narrowly loses to someone like Rudy who gets blown out before Mitt has a comeback in 2016.

2012 election results megathread
« Reply #1455 on: November 6, 2012, 09:14:01 »

Looking at the results from NJ and Long Island, it's evident that Clinton faced some backlash over her handling of law enforcement issues. The fact she denied crime was up in the area and mainly driven by black males is an indictment on the Democratic Party. I hope she changes course in a what looks likely 2nd term as she doesn't have to run again.

We will see now NJ state elections in 2013 turns out downballot, but I'm predicting a major backlash if Clinton doesn't change course on law enforcement and crime policy. Lots of white suburban voters are fed up with it.

I couldn't have done it any better.

Seems like Clinton has the election in the bag here. The West Coast and Hawaii already get her 269 electoral votes. She just needs to win one more of Nevada, Virginia or Colorado to seal the deal.

Good work, as usual. I think Hillary will win Virginia on top of that while Jindal takes Missouri. But still kind of odd a Democrats wins West Virginia in 2012.
