Since July 1 apparently. Pissed off. I was gonna go buy some and received the harsh news. I thought we were a freedom loving state.

As a former Oregonian I’m confused; actual THC is legal so 1. Why would you buy an inferior derivative in the first place but also 2. When and how was it banned?

It looks like only sale is banned so you can still order it online:

It's not inferior. That's like saying beer is inferior to hard liquor. They have different uses.

Eh, disagree. The science is much less established on delta 8 and given it typically has more chemical additives I’ll stick with regular THC when available. That seems to be the state of Oregon’s rationale as well from what I can gather, but obviously I wouldn’t ban it myself if I was in charge.

I tried a couple sites and the orders wouldn't go through.

Anyway I like delta8 because you (used to be able to) walk into any store and buy it at 18 no questions asked. It gets the job done. I only use edibles not cartridges.

Try these:
https://www.cbdhousemn.com
https://www.strainsllc.com
https://www.mainstreamcbd.com
https://www.edwinsedibles.com

MainstreamCBD looks promising, due to this under their shipping policy: https://www.mainstreamcbd.com/policies/shipping-policy

Quote
4.9 Out of State Purchases

We can not ship to the following states due to the following state's law: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Kentucky, Idaho, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New York, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, and Washington

No mention of Oregon.

I went to this site and it seemed to work. They said they'll send me an email when it ships. Thanks for the suggestions!

I support legal weed, as long as it's union-made.

Oh yeah, so much more dangerous than something you'd buy from guy in a dark back alley.

The anti-Delta-8 propaganda is a weird type of neo-reefer madness.

What? Your argument makes absolutely zero sense considering Oregon is a legal state where the dispensaries are pretty much like Apple stores, lol.

I'm not 'Anti Delta 8' at all, in fact I've used it a few times. I'm simply pointing out the state of Oregon's rationale for this move and my own opinion, shared by many of my friends who are more into 'weed culture' than I am, that unadultured THC is superior to THC that's been chemically altered to get past weed laws.

Step down BRTD, this isn't some personal attack on you lol.

I'm talking about in Texas and Minnesota (where I've found local stoners still want to whine about our legal edibles and how they're "not real weed" and other complete nonsense.)

The people described in bold are the f[inks]ing worst. They lie all the time about Delta-8 and usually have burning hateboners for it, there's all sorts of people on Minnesota-related subreddits who get absolutely triggered as  at any talk about Delta-8. Any of that nature talking about how dangerous it is is both a hypocritical moron and full of sh!t. It's just lies and reefer madness again.

Personally, Delta 8 doesn't have the same effect that real THC does for me. That being said, I absolutely don't think it should be banned and don't see any reason why people who do enjoy it should be restricted from doing so. Vapes and such that have additives like glycerin I can see some concern around and respect wanting to study them, edibles and such would be ridiculous to ban.

Apparently CBN is being banned in Oregon too, WTF?!

https://www.oregonlive.com/marijuana/2022/06/oregon-ban-on-synthetic-cannabis-products-will-be-nations-first.html

CBN doesn't get you high but is a great relaxant and helps with sleep. It's a godsend for people with sleep issues and chronic pain. I use it when I have trouble sleeping myself. What the hell?

If you can't be prosecuted for heroin and meth, I don't know why synthetic weed and Delta-8 would be illegal.

You still can't sell heroin or meth (or shrooms, or LSD, or even weed) at convenience stores. Delta-8 was totally unregulated until now. The government is sadly asserting control. Nobody is going to get in any trouble for possessing delta 8 but it can't be sold.

Since when are Meth and Heroin legal in Oregon?

Haven't seen anything like that announced yet, just waiting for the day where I can walk over to a Dispensary and buy legal Shrooms and LSD.    Wink

J/K don't do any of that crap anymore, but still you bagging on s**t in OR, while meanwhile Cali is pumping out tons of synthetic opioids to OR where in most cities you can't even walk across the streets without tripping over somebody high on that crap?

Go back Cody to your suburban mansion in Cali, because quite frankly you like to stir the s**t pot, while the rest of us are dealing with the consequences.
