At least we finally got a non-internal poll.

Confirms that Cheney is done for. When even people like Mike Simpson, Andrew Garbarino and Mark Amodei support Hageman...

When you have only a 27 % Approval Rating in the State you are most definitly done for.

That’s too bad. What will I do as a conservative-leaner who disapproves of Capitol insurrections, now that the representative of a state with 25 people can’t wag her finger in our faces and lecture us anymore?

Most likely, we're looking at a margin that is in the high 10s and early 20s.

@RollRoons,
I actually like Rep. Elise Stefanik as GOP Conference Chair. She is doing a fantastic job. I don't care if Elises Voting is a tad less conservative compared to Cheney.

Liz would have undoubtedly in my mind undermined the Republican Message to take back the House. That's actually the reason she was ousted, not her Impeachment Vote.

How probable is it that Cheney is going to follow Murkowski's example and start a write-in campaign? If she does, how likely would be a victory of hers?

Not impossible. It helps that she will have no problem whatsoever getting people to write her name correctly.

Hageman's team could sue (probably successfully) to have any ballot with "Liz" written on it thrown out since Elizabeth is her full name.

Impossible for her to win a Write-In Campaign in Wyoming. That State isn't Alaska. It has considerable less Indies & Democrats compared to the Last Frontier.

Maybe if this Race was held in the early 2000's when Wyoming actually had a Democratic Governor (Dave Freudenthal) Cheney could have won a Write-In Campaign but not these Days. The State has changed too much.

Ah. Didn't realize that.
I guess a lawyer would probably raise this issue before rubber hits road.

Fortunately, William Jefferson Blythe III never had to rely on write-in campaigns... Roll Eyes

Cheney can't run as an independent or third party in the general election if (when) she loses the primary.  Wyoming has a "sore loser" law.

This poll makes me sad. There's no way to sugarcoat it; the House is gonna lose yet one more sane person and gain another trump cultist.

I wish every state were forced to hold jungle primaries for statewide elections and U.S. House races. I wouldn't care if they are to hold them prior to Election Day (just like CA, WA and AK do) or exactly on Election Day (like LA does); I wouldn't care either if only two candidates advance to the general election, or if four do (like in AK).
Through a jungle primary, Cheney would easily emerge victorious, which makes that voting system so much more democratic than the current standard one.
