Purdue has named Illinois Defensive Coordinator Ryan Walters as their new Head Coach.

Given how well Illinois did this year, this has the potential to be a fantastic hire for Purdue.

The interesting question though is how will Purdue do in the transition from a high-powered offensive team to a primarily defense-focused team. Purdue is not Alabama. Resources are limited, and will be taken away from the offense to go to the defense. How will everyone around Purdue cope with this change? Early signs show that the reaction is not positive. That can change. Walters is fantastic. But massive philosophical transitions do not always go very well. Just hope Purdue fans can be patient with him...

Kent State is naming Minnesota Associate Head Coach Kenni Burns as their new Head Coach.

This is definitely a great hire, as Burns had success in the MAC with P.J Fleck's Western Michigan teams, but Kent State is a very tough place to win more than three or four games a season, let alone get to bowl eligibility.

North Texas has named Washington State Offensive Coordinator Eric Morris as their new Head Coach.

Morris has roots in Texas, having been a star wide receiver for Mike Leach at Texas Tech, and was a successful head coach at Incarnate Word as well.

However, North Texas is about to get a lot tougher competition as they head from Conference USA to the AAC (and the annual conference rivalry with SMU).

Probably the best hire, but I thought they'd at least kick the tires on an outside candidate.

Just like it was time for Rams since 2000 to win a title it's time for Cowboys to win it but they gotta go thru Chiefs, Bengals and Eagles, it's time for OH St to. win a title and the Refs are in it, Jordan rules, refs play a part in teams winning Superbowls by give extra free throws and extra pass interference no questions asked Rams got the calls on pass interference last yr

Alot of people aren't Cowboys fans but Zeke Elliott fans like myself and that's why OH St has still a huge following as I said before it's a time for all teams to win OH St hasn't won since 2015 and Dallas Cowboys haven't won since 1997, so it's only a matter of time and refs are a big part of that too in helping Rams win Superbowl in 2021 when they gave Stafford the benefit of calls on pass interference and put ball at 1 yrd line, very few Cowboys penalties and Rams are garbage and Kelce is a Hall of Famer but he folds in crunch time like he did in Superbowl with Tom Brady

They are all pros
