Basically everyone who has a realistic shot of running in this scenario is listed I think, give or take a few.

Who has the best shot in the general election, not the primaries?

I disagree. She's going to lose badly to Kemp this year, and I don't think her comments about Georgia being the worst state to live in will do her any favors.

I hope Newsom runs. He's an infinitely stronger candidate than Biden or especially Harris.

Cooper or Polis or maybe Beshear (who I doubt runs.)

Honestly, none of them.  The Democratic field as of today is horrific.

Raphael Warnock would be a strong candidate. There's also a case to make for Eric Adams and Andy Beshear. And Gavin Newsom, I believe, would be a more formidable candidate than most people think.

Roy Cooper would be a good VP candidate for any non-white or female nominee.

Warnock has potential, but I didn't include him because he needs to beat Herschel Walker first. No coming back from that if he doesn't.

Agreed on the rest of your points.

Beshear, Polis, Cooper etc. will never make it out of a Democratic primary. Nikki Haley or Tim Scott would similarly be the strongest GOP nominee but would also never take the nomination.

The likeliest and strongest nominees are Raphael Warnock and Gavin Newsom by far. Maybe Gretchen Whitmer but I also don’t know if she’d be able to get the nomination TBH.

Hillary already endorsed Biden, they won't be any other candidates in the D Primary other than Nina Turner

A Hunter Biden vs. Donald Trump Jr. race would be... something.

Olawakandi!

Kidding aside, Andy Beshear and Eric Adams would be strong candidates, even as a ticket. Not sure whether I'm biased because I like them, but I do believe that Kathy Hochul and Gavin Newsom would be very formidable as well. Newsom has a fighter mentality and Hochul can easily stress her background and comes off as likeable person who still gets things done.

I guess any of these four would also be stronger than Kamala.

Hot take: I think Kamala Harris is a stronger candidate than everyone on this list.

Glad to see Andy Beshear is picking up steam. I think he'd beat Trump or DeSantis especially as more of America gets to know him.

Sherrod Brown, Roy Cooper, and Andy Beshear would be the strongest candidates. Whitmer, if she wins re election, would also be a strong candidate. I'm on the fence with regards to Pritzker.

Everyone else would be weak for one reason or another, and LOL and everyone saying Newsom.

I don't know if Cory Booker is the "strongest" but he's probably someone who can win and would be interested in running.

I don't think Sparticus could win. Maybe he has a shot against Trump, but I can't see him beating any other Republican.

While I roll my eyes at him, Newsome could be one to watch in the coming year or so.  Polis could also be a dark horse.  AOC scares me.

Voted Cooper over Beshear, Whitmer, and Pritzker/Newsom, probably in close to that order.

Hot take: I think Kamala Harris is a stronger candidate than everyone on this list.

Only because Joe Sestak was not listed.

In the general election?  Cooper, followed by Polis and Beshear.

She’s not listed, but Amy Klobuchar could be a good candidate too, considering the margins of victory in Minnesota, which is just a light blue state.

In any case, I think Biden runs again.  Maybe Klobuchar could be nice in 2028.
