No one disputes that, genius, but the point is this guy was anything but non-violent.
But like 90% of the people who stormed the Capitol were not violent, they simply walked into a building.

They still committed a crime.
Shouldn't be prosecuted though. We don't see the FBI going after jaywalkers.

Would you say the same if it was a leftist mob that attacked the capitol? Conservatives better be careful what they wish for. The older generations are full of conservatives who are dying off and there are more and more leftists coming up who are disdainful of the US constitution. The next time there is a attack on the capitol, it may not be a bunch of fascists, but a bunch of leftists. Weakness shown during the 2020 riots led to the weakness shown during the January 6th insurrection. Hopefully this doesn't lead to weakness being shown during the next attack because we may not have a country afterwards.
Destroying shops is bad because it actually has victims.
Walking around a federal building is not bad cause there's no victims (obviously the people who assault cops are bad tho).

They were trying to hang Mike Pence and change the outcome of an election. That is far worse than destroying shops, though both should be cracked down on severely. We live in dangerous times and we can't allow this type of behavior, whether it is from the left or the right.
If someone actually committed violence then prosecute them. Simply chanting something or having a view that literally most Republicans have is protected by the 1st amendment.
The only crime most capitol "rioters" did is walk around in a building.
