According to an article in the Washington Post (vomit) by Bob Novak, no more than 12 GOP Senators and 1 CFLer (anyone know who that is? Tongue) support the Bush/McCain so-called "surge" of troops in Iraq.

Thoughts on how this position will affect McCain's Presidential run?

I don't buy that support is that low, particularly among Republicans. If McCain is President of United States, as opposed to the Senior Senator from Arizona, his views will carry much more pull in congress than they currently do, unfortunately.
