Why are people offended by this? If you've been exposed to Monkeypox then it's incredibly foolish and irresponsible to be having sex before you're confirmed to be in the clear.

The CDC managed to write a whole two pages about sex and monkeypox without using the words "man" or "woman"  (supposedly because these terms are too non-inclusive now.)

That itself is an acheivement worth recognizing this pride month!
Its not like the "don't have sex if exposed to monkeypox" guidelines have any gendered components. And gay people exist. I honestly don't see any important reason to use "man" or "woman" in this specific context.

It is bordering on misinformation in a public circular about monkeypox to not acknowledge that the primary route of community transmission in the U.S. has been  men who have sex with men (MSM.)
Thats something it might be nice to mention, but its not like it's vital information, and there are good arguments that the risks of stigmatizing gay people with this are damaging in a more significant way.

It absolutely is vital information if you're counting on the CDC to inform the public about the level of risk posed to the general population.

It isn't vital information if you'd prefer the CDC to shout-down jargony bulls[inks]t that caters only to a vanishingly infinitesimal subset of the educated, woke class.

After two years of covid hysteria, it's very obvious who the public health bureaucrats at the CDC are in business for.  Normal people do not act, think or talk like this.

Depraved people do, and our society has increased its depravity level at record rates.

Oddly, one of their two illustrations depicts a bunch of people waving pride flags, so maybe they were trying to hint at this without stating it outright?

You would be surprised that even talking about letting kids know of the existence of masturbation draws hostility.

It's the job of parents to warn their children as to the risks of blindness.

I actually read the primary source document several weeks ago, but thanks for linking to it.

So is the only way to allude to LGBT people now through pride-approved clipart?  The entire reason MSM exists as a clinically distinct population of patients is that not all MSM identify as LGBT+

If there is one "lifestyle"(I can use this term because decided how you deal with your sexuality is a choice) that is problematic for many practical reasons, its closeted homosexuality.

That appears to be the reason, although there's also the fact that not all gay and bi men are people who actively have sex on a regular basis.
