Everyone who I have talked too the last few days has just said the same thing.  Gerald Ford was a good man.   I've never heard anything bad said about Ford.   He was a good man!!!

GOD BLESS PRESIDENT FORD!!!  THE WORLD IS A SADDER PLACE WITHOUT YOU!!!

Not to toot my own horn, but there was a test that a bunch of us forumites took a couple years back that measured our stances on the issues, our views of government and our views on power and I came up as Jerry Ford.  Anyway, I think he was a good man, and I wish he had another term.

He certainly was a fine man and a good President considering the difficulties he was faced with. I don't think anyone could've been truly successful as President during the 1970's, given everything that was going on at that time that was really largely out of the control of the President.

I did too, oddly enough.

Haha. Smiley

Actually, I recall that interviews with Gerald Ford were released after his death that indicated that he didn't seem to think much of George W. Bush, so we have that in common. Wink
