I just saw a 10 second announcement at the end of the news. I haven't found  a story online yet. He was the first president I voted for. Sad

The history of the future will remember him better than the history of the present does.

God, This is a really shi*ty year for moderate Republicans.  2007 couldn't come soon enough.

Kinda odd, my great-grandmother who's 95 was on death's door a few hours ago and was given not even the evening to live, but so far has survived.

Not that that has much to do with Ford, but there seems to be alot of dying in the last few days.

RIP

Shame.  Still, he was 93, had a good long life.

He was a truly wonderful man who merely wanted what was best for the nation.  May he rest in peace.

I know I'm a jerk for thinking this, but I really hope Betty Ford has more class than Nancy Reagan and spares us the weeklong funeral crap. Sorry to hear about your great-grandmother, Tweed.

Gerald Ford was a good President and a great man. The sad thing is that though he did so much for this country in one of our darkest hours, he will always be somewhat of a forgotten President. I hope that his efforts in leading this nation through difficult times will be better remembered now.

I may not have agreed with his politics as much as I agree with other Republicans and I heard on the news just a few minutes ago that if he was still involved, he would not be a good fit even as a moderate Republican (something I doubt), but I always have and always will admire him. He was a decent individual, the type that I wish we could always have in the White House. If I was around to vote in the 1976 primaries, it would have been one of the toughest political decisions I'd ever have to make and while I would have ultimately went with Reagan, I wouldn't have been disappointed at all supporting Ford. It would have been a great privilege to vote for such a man.

Rest in peace, Mr. President.

Poor old Gerry Ford, I wish I had met him he seemed like a very nice person. Nixon did the right choice in picking Ford as his Vice President, instead of the bankrupt John Connally. He was truely a good President in one of the United State's darkest hours. May all our thoughts and our prays be with the Ford family today. Rest in peace President Ford.

He outlived Reagan by 47 days.
However, 93 is nothing compared to the oldest living man (also currently the oldest living person), who is 115.

Not that great of a President, but in my opinion, one of the best men to ever occupy the White House. RIP.

Wow. I JUST saw the Simpsons episode where Gerald Ford moves in at the end. It ended just 6 minutes ago. And just yesterday, I was looking at how old the living presidents were and whether or not Ford was older than Reagan when he died.
