I copied the questions from a few sections of the General Social Survey (
http://www.thearda.com/Quickstats/Qsdir.asp )
Please tell me whether or not you think it should be possible for a pregnant woman to obtain a legal abortion if
a.) There is a strong chance of serious defect in the baby
b.) She is married and does not want any more children?
c.) The woman's own health is seriously endangered by the pregnancy
d.) The family has a very low income and cannot afford any more children
e.) She became pregnant as a result of rape
f.) She is not married and does not want to marry the man
g.) The woman wants it for any reason
I'm answering Yes to all 7 questions. Which isn't an endorsement of the rightness of abortion, but just a reflection that such a thing should be possible to obtain if the person wants it.

That's enough wedginess to make everybody feel uncomfortable.
