The right-wing media, clueless as ever. Those f**king idiots thought that Hillary was the darling of the "hard left".

There's also a difference between liking someone in their current role and not liking them as President.

I don't know any Democrats who like Richard Lugar as much as I do.  But I believe he is most effective and serves the best interest of Indiana and the nation in the Senate.  I feel the same about Hillary.

Of course I will vote for her if she is the nominee.  But I'd be a lot more enthused about Gore, Obama or Richardson.

Uh, those are both unscientific polls and thus, really have no validity. Unfortunately, it seems as though Clinton is popular among Democrats, which is why she has consistently lead in scientific polls for the Democratic Nomination (although, hopefully, this will change soon). Likewise, the latest Rasmussen Reports poll, which shows Clinton trailing Giuliani by three points, also mentions that Clinton has a 48-50 approval rating. I'd be willing to wager that that 48% of the populace are rank and file Democrats.

I love it when Bill OReilly and Tom DeLay--in their amazing analytical abilities to predict what Democrats are thinking and feeling--go on Fox News and assure their audience that Hillary will be the Dem nominee...yeah, just like they uncannily predicted that Howard Dean would win the Dem nomination in a landslide.  LOL!

Hillary has been all over the playing field.

I believe in her heart of hearts that she is a hard core liberal.

But she has tried to hide that in order to position herself for higher office.

Many people, even those who may be predisposed to agree with her positions, sense that she isn't real or authentic, and that seems to be hurting her.

People will sometimes vote for people they don't agree with on many issues if they think the person is authentic, and really wants to do the right thing.  Hillary doesn't seem to have that.

Hillary isn't really hard core liberal, IMO. She's an establishement figure from a wealthy family. While she may in a sense be a liberal I doubt she's honestly concerned about poor people.
