Lets say Ted Kennedy was the 1980 Democratic Nominee.
Who would you vote for and what would some EV maps look like?

I obviously voted for Reagan. Kennedy would win MA, RI, MN, WV, MD and DC.

(question: EV maps are asked for but how would I go about inserting the map into my post?)

Well using Mozilla Firefox I right click > copy the image location > put the location in (img)(/img) With [brackets] instead of course

Just to add onto my previous prediction, Kennedy would also take Hawaii.

I vote for John Anderson and would have done in 1980, in 1984 I would have voted for Reagan though.

Even if Teddy is a Kennedy, he isn't a Kennedy if you get what I mean.

I'd vote for Kennedy.

Phil-Teddy takes NY, no contest.

I'd vote for Reagan (my favorite President) and the map would look something like this.

Reagan - 490
Kennedy - 48

Kennedy would win NY too. Carter only did so bad because he was very unpopular.

He would definately not win Vermont though. Back then that was considered a Republican state.

I didn't realize that about Vermont. 1980 was before my time.

Clinton in 92 was actually the first Democrat to win Vermont except for the landslide of 1964.

Yup yup, Lyndon Johnson, Bill Clinton (twice) and Al Gore are the only Democrats ever to win Vermont.
