Neither did Lincoln.

Capitalism is a pox on the world.

Wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.  You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.  You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.  You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.”

Lincoln never said any such thing. He was misquoted by Reagan at the 1992 Republican National Covention.

So what was the original quote?

The quote that Reagan attributed to Lincoln was actually from someone who disagreed with Lincoln's views.
