Ecstatic.  Maybe not as ecstatic as election night in 2016 but it will be close.

Disappointed, but not that surprised. I'm not sure my opinion of American politics can get much lower, at this point. I might have a slight amount of hope in the moment that maybe the Democratic Party would change course, though knowing them, that's not especially likely.

Happy Biden lost, but would have preferred DeSantis.

Unsurprised and just passive about the whole thing. I won’t think about the expected declines of my quality of life until it happens. Of course, there is some joy in realizing that the opportunity for the democrats to go away and not cause any more harm is there for those next four years.

What could Trump do in 4 years that would make the country unlivable?

Ban transitioning, probably.

Again Devil’s advocate: you would probably have an easier time doing it anyway than finding a new place to live. Maybe you show up at the Canadian border and ask for asylum.

After 8 years of the man being slandered as the new Hitler, and the left becoming bolder and bolder and more and more hateful since 2016, I’d be over the moon if he wins in 2024. Just to see reactions similar to 2016. IE the “Nooooooo!” Girl on steroids.

Those videos were fun to watch but not what made me ecstatic about Trump being elected.  It was more about Trump winning meant about the type of America I wanted to live in.  I remember when it was clear Trump had won in 2016 I started to sing the American national anthem, something I had not done since the 2003 invasion of Iraq.  For the first time in a long time when Trump was elected, I was so proud to be a USA citizen.

Depressed and angry. Hopefully the latter more than the former, because it means I would direct the agression against others instead of against myself.

Worried for the future of the American Republic, but not particularly surprised. If the Democratic party doesn't change course soon, it will be fully deserved.

Maybe taking so much pleasure in the pain of others isn't such a good thing? Maybe being so singularly invested in others being unhappy is the problem?

the only way it can happen is if the Dems run someone truly horrible and there is only like 40% chance of that.
