I have no data on this at all, but, when I was involved in conservative student organizations, it often seemed like the "problematic" people I'd run into at conferences were from the Northwest.  Like, an actual white supremacist was the chair of the Washington State University College Republicans when I was in college.  I have no idea why that would be the case, though.
