Obviously. Doesn't this sound better than "hipster Christianity"?

Religion: Trumpism
Denomination: Alt-Trumpism

Why do you follow this religion (or lack thereof)? YouTube videos.

God: One God-Emperor.

Afterlife: Miss Teen USA dressing room for believers, Mexico for non-believers.

Prayer: I pray to that the IRS and FBI drop their investigations into me.

Worship: Daily virtual services on OAN. Sometimes also go to church, if the National Guard is on hand to gas protesters standing in the way.

Ghosts, spirits, angels, and demons: George W. Bush and Hillary Clinton are demons, while Barack Hussein Obama is the devil himself. Stephen K. Bannon and Kayleigh McEnany are angels. David Duke and Richard Spencer are "very fine people", one step down from angels.

One True Path: Trumpism is the one true path.

Spiritual objects: Federal Reserve Notes and gold.

Religious law: Sex is only permitted outside marriage.

Spreading the word: Highly encouraged, preferably in all caps online.

Some of us don’t want to be playthings for nonhuman pedophiles, human one’s are already bad. Although the nonzero chance to kiss Orpheus and have fun with Satyrs is tempting.

Zoroastrianism seems pretty cool
Zoroastrianism is just satanic fascism for Aryan edgelords. It is just incoherent Not!Hinduism of the Aryan elite who decided they liked the Iranian plateau better than India. Worse is that most of the Demons who are gay are annoying contrarian flamers. I wish I was kidding but I am not

There's no net effect on picking one to be true over another as it doesn't alter people accepting or rejecting it. Or even knowing it's true to start off with.

I don't believe there's a god. If that was suddenly undeniably true tomorrow, it wouldn't affect anyone's existing beliefs in God or otherwise.

In the spirit however I'd pick the horned god Cernunnos. Just for the aesthetics.

the goddess of reason must be extremely disappointed in the disturbing lack of faith in this thread to even question the undeniable truth of the cult

i would choose theistic satanism on the condition that all of the charges levelled against it by non-adherents are also true, particularly alexis-vincent-charles berbiguier de terre-neuve du thym's assertion that its followers have the ability to shapeshift into cats and fleas

Of course. Why would I believe it otherwise?

Because  not everything we know to be true is necessarily good or noble. There are other factors at play, other compulsions.

I wouldn't be surprised if there were many God-fearing people that wish there was no damnation or Hell, and yet they will nonetheless still do everything to spread the very gospel to keep people from there, even if predestination is sometimes a thing.

Weak sauce dude. Norse mythology is far more interesting!

PSOL is tempbanned and thus cannot explain or defend his take, but I'm going to be watching any further indiscriminately insulting characterizations of extant religions in this thread very carefully.

For the record, I am an atheist of no religion, but if I could pick any religion to be the truth, it would be something that allowed people to go to some sort of heaven like entity in an afterlife, and with said religion taking the position that people would go to it or not based on their actions regardless of whether or not they were a believer.

No, because the thought of there being no afterlife greatly upsets me. I'd like there to be one, but I just don't think it exists.

Yes, because I'm an atheist and I do believe that is reality, and a lot of problems would be solved if religion wasn't really a thing.

Atheism? Absolutely. I do think the world would be better off without organized religion. No it wouldn't solve every issue and create a utopia, but the globe would be better and more rational.

But if there's one religion that I am the most sympathetic to, it's Daoism. And that barely counts.

...I mean agree, but that's not at all what the question was asking.

My former affiliation? I think I would actually, though I do not necessarily think the general premise and mindset for devout adherents is the one I'd run with while accepting as truth.

Most of those adherents stress themselves out aiming for ultimate happiness, and trap themselves with the agency card.

I've come to terms that perhaps happiness is not a worthy fight by itself and that there other things of good report that I can do if that battle is conceded.

They say "Celestial glory", I'm fine with Telestial...or even out in the nethers.

I could be swayed towards Zen Buddhism or Taoism, those feel like a sort of non-belief that isn't empty, meaningless, dead, and cold like atheism normally seems to be.

True, I was answering in bad faith, so to speak.

If I had to pick a religion, I'm going with Quakerism. The Canadian/UK style Quakerism, that is.

I'd probably create a belief system based around an omnibenevolent creator of the universe who has power after death and acts more like a maternal, guiding figure than a "you must worship me" kind of diety.
