Might Thurmond be vulnerable despite all the establishment support? I thought he was going to easily win in one round.

It's odd to me that this nonpartisan office can be elected solely in the primary if a candidate wins an outright majority.

The nonpartisan office primary format predates the current jungle primary for partisan offices in California.

Looks like Lance Christensen is now the favorite to make the second round. However, it is an extremely close call with George Yang and Ainye Long right behind him.
