HC as European countries go I rank it along the likes of Bulgaria and Serbia, which is I think all I need to say about my opinions on Ireland.
So you mean it's a great country?

LOL it's pretty funny considering that hot single mother hipster Christian emo fan from that Facebook group is literally the best person I can think of to ever come out of Ireland.

Wait, you don't like James Joyce?

Beautiful, lush green island that’s a lot more socially liberal than it was in the not-so-distant past.

Not hot (not female), nor an emo fan, nor a hipster Christian.

Freedom Country. No reason to see it otherwise. Fun fact: It has fewer people than Massachusetts.

People don't acknowledge that Irish Celtic means Jr Chimp it doesn't mean Leprechaun and the Scot Irish are the original Vikings and we are all primates that's why we have 46 chromosomes and Apes has 48

We're all related to each other whites evolve from Blks because the original Pharoahs we're Blk and Arabic and Hebrew were the original Cave man that evolve from Blks as albinos

I had gigantism in my family I wasn't tall, there are Dwarfism I Africa but we associate Africa with Sports Basketball and China too, but Japanese are short and they evolve from Chinese and I am not tall and I am blk and my Grandpa was 6ft 6 meaning I have Dwarfism in the Blk race like whites

Whites have Hebrew Philistine in them like Goalith and Sampson if they have tall genes they have a better chance at being tall eventhough they are Irish Celtics than Blks, I am not saying every case but why am I not tall and my Grandpa was tall

There's a reason why it's been said that Cromwell is to the Irish what Hitler is to the Jews.

……that is offensively stupid.

Anyway, I’ve never been but seems like an interesting place with nice people.

Given what Cromwell's been accused of (correctly or not), I'm not so sure it's stupid.

Never been there, so to be fair, that should be noted.

Irish and French backpackers have a reputation in Western Australia as thievorous heroin and meth addicts.

My business has never had a sale to Italy, France or Ireland, so I cannot shake the idea they are tight.

Cromwell committed what would now be considered to be war crimes in Ireland, notably after the siege of Drogheda,1 but accusations of genocide are not credible and largely relate to the Irish folk historical figure of Cromwell (in which all of the violence that happened in Ireland in the late 16th and 17th centuries are rolled into one event and blamed on one person, re-cast as a quasi-demonic entity) rather than the actual historical figure.2 The worst period of violence by Commonwealth forces in Ireland actually occurred after Cromwell was back in England and was directed by political radicals like Ireton who believed in breaking the population through scorched-earth tactics: all the evidence we have suggests that Cromwell wasn't personally pleased with what went on, though he was not what you could call sympathetic towards the victims.

1. Which were well within accepted norms for the period - Early Modern protocols around siege warfare were extremely brutal - but appear to have shaken him enough that he, famously, found it necessary to justify it to himself. He was an odd man, quite out of keeping with the century in which he lived.
2. Not the only pseudo-historical version of Cromwell either: there are many of them representing a wide range of different positions, some negative and some positive. One of those larger-than-life figures who just seems to attract myth-making.

Absolutely love the plae, the people and the culture. Thankfully, relations are a teeny bit better than a few decades ago.
