I’d say Ford.  He wasn’t great, but he was okay.

On a personal level, Carter.  In terms of politics, arguably none since the Republicans became the opposition to the Democrats (maybe Cleveland, but I don't know enough about his views to say).

Ford. GHWB is neither an HP or an FF.

HW Bush

America couldn’t lose in the ‘92 election. Well, unless Perot somehow won, but that was never seriously gonna happen. And even he could have been a lot worse.

Dwight Eisenhower.  He was a moderate who really should have just been an Independent.  I think he was underrated - a very respectable, distinguished man, and he was extremely qualified to serve as Commander in Chief.

You don’t think Eisenhower was an FF?

Well...he was a borderline HP, but I'll go with Bill Clinton.  Carter might qualify as well.

Eisenhower was more pragmatic than he was moderate.  He was partisan enough of a Republican that the disclosure of his previously unknown political views pretty much ruined his friendship with Truman.

Anywho, Biden.  Think the guy is a bit off these days, but he’s not a “horrible person.”  The people who pretty much dictate what his policies will be are much worse.

I waver on whether I consider LBJ an FF. His civil rights accomplishments are hugely important, but I have to weigh that against the rest of his domestic agenda as well as Vietnam. Truman is a definite FF.

A case could be made that Arthur was an HP for allowing the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 to be passed.

It could be any of Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, or Bush Sr.

.   Truman didn't object to Hoover despite similarly different views.  It wasn't then mere view differences, but something else.   Hint, Ted Cruz's double.
