Option A keep the Charleston metro whole but have a donut seat from Beaufort to Horry

Option B, split the Charleston metro almost in half with the Eastern portion of Charleston county and most of Berkley going to Horry and the rest going with Beaufort.

FYI partisan difference is very marginal. 1st map creates a Biden +2.8 seat and 2nd map creates a Biden +3.3 seat which is surprising as the 2nd splits the Metro in half although the urban core remains whole

The actual split of the urban area in option 2 isn't so bad (most the population and all of the core is in the Beaufort district as you said), but I think I'd still prefer option 1. I personally actually like donut districts generally and in this case Beaufort and Myrtle Beach don't really have any less in common than either has in common with Charleston.

The idea of Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head being in a district without Charleston gives me an aneurysm
