The only way developed countries are going to significantly up their birthrates is by offering massive inducements (almost literally bribes) and increasing infrastructure to increase childcare capacity. But this all goes against right wing ideology, so.....

Anyway what all these little things show is that in addition to what you say, the “Center” in France could be fractured along three lines next election, roughly along the lines of Horizons, Renaissance and Modem.

Great stuff, the French left has split into maybe half a dozen warring factions already.
