The constitution states that vice presidents assuming the presidency can only run for one more term if they finish out more than half of their predecessors term. So what would happen, if someone becomes president a month before half of the current term is up, but resigns after winning reelection to a full term, just to be back on January 20?

A concrete example:

Vice President X becomes president on December 20, 2018. Technically, he could only run for reelection 2020, since half of the term (IRL Trump’s term) would be on January 20, 2019. After winning the 2020 election, X resigns from office on November 10, 2020. So technically the guy served out less than half of the ongoing term. His vice president takes over until January 20, 2021, when X gets inaugurated again for his own full term as the Electoral College would still vote for him later on. Could this individual seek another term in 2024?

Relevant text of amendment:

"for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President"

If they resign early enough to not have served 2 years and a day, they would be eligible to be elected twice.

Yup. If Biden resigns after noon on January 20, 2023 then Kamala could theoretically serve until January 20, 2033.
