Justice has it in the bag but I'd be surprised if he even finished out his term in the Senate. He barely does his job as Governor. And is in such poor health he has to have a stool brought with him everywhere because he can't even stand for more than a minute. Manchin may be better off bowing out now and waiting for a comeback bid in a special election.

He'd lose that by fifty points too.

I wouldn't underestimate Manchin frankly.

He's a heavy underdog but who knows he!

Poor people campaign says triage Manchin and Sinemaa, if you make a user PRED WVA is AL and donate to Brown, Tester, Kunce , Joseph and ALLRED

That means no donating to either one of them and they are a Super PAC for Non incumbent Senators we have a better chance in TX with ALLRED we still have no ninee in FL yet

If Rev Barber says Triage Sinema and Manchin it's over he didn't say Triage Tester and Brown so Rs thinking that Tester and Brown are Blanch Lincoln and DeWine won by 25 not Vance whom won by 5 are gonna be wrong on Eday there are no polls in OH

WV is just as gone as IA we have a better chance in KS and MO than IA now that's why Laura Kelly and Sharice Davids won in KS in 22

Justice Department announces a lawsuit against West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice’s coal empire, seeking more than $5 million in unpaid civil penalties and fees

Quote
Though Justice, a Republican, is not listed as a defendant in the lawsuit, his adult son who runs the family’s coal operations, James Justice III, and more than a dozen companies the family owns or operates are listed as defendants.

The companies, according to the Justice Department, repeatedly violated federal laws that oversee coal mine operations and failed to pay “uncontested” fines for those violations. The companies also ignored more than 50 orders to stop mining after violations were found to pose “health and safety risks” to workers or that threatened “environmental harm,” prosecutors say.

Justice goes after Justice.
They made an entire Department just to prosecute Jim Justice.

This is clearly politically motivated

"West Virginia governor can’t use Senate bid as excuse to not disclose finances, judge says"

https://apnews.com/article/jim-justice-finances-coal-lawsuit-e40bcbd6cfd823111c32a3afb17cdc5b

Jim Justice and not paying bills, name a more iconic duo:

"A federal judge in Delaware has ordered West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice to provide information about his finances to attorneys for a Pennsylvania coal exporter who have sued to collect $1.9 million owed by Justice and one of his coal companies.

Justice, who is running for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in West Virginia, has refused to respond to information requests from Xcoal Energy & Resources, which is trying to collect the balance of a judgment of more than $10 million against Justice and Southern Coal Corp."

What if Manchin ran as an Independent or No Labels for Senate? Would Dems field their own candidate? Would it notably boost Manchin’s final vote share? Could he be viable or is he too associated with Dems?

Manchin is a team player, he's not Sinema. Democrats would back him like they did McMullin, and he would still lose because he's unpopular going up against an extremely popular governor.

Manchin running for re-election as an Independent is just a dumb idea. While still unlikely, the only chance he’d have at winning again is running as a Democrat. If he runs as an Independent, someone like Paula Jean Swearengin will run and be nominated as the Democrat, and the Democrat will pull enough votes from Manchin to doom any small chance he has. Republicans voters will unite around Jim Justice in the general.

I think he's much more likely to run for President if he switches to Independent. In that case, we're doomed.

Assuming that Manchin is fairly intelligent and realistic, he'll just retire, or take a high-paying and prestigious position outside of elective office.

That, and running for Governor. I don’t see how this parlour trick is supposed to save him from losing to Justice.

Regardless of whether or not running as an independent without a Democratic challenger might let him eke out a win against Justice or whomever, I saw a recent photo of Manchin and he definitely looks more his age than Romney does. Dude should just do a term as Chancellor of WVU and then retire.

Well according to the polls he's losing by 10 points.

Trump endorsed Justice as expected. Mooney's campaign is finished.

Seat remains safe Justice.
