Sorry. With everything going on I forgot to explain this one

This bill aims to eliminate structural systemic racism as practiced by the federal government.

1 and 2 eliminates racist contracting rules that award federal contracts on the basis of race. Certainly we should be inclusive in contracting and not discriminate against Atlasians because of their skin color as that is the definition of racism ... and racism by the government is systemic structural systematic racism.

3 prohibits colleges that receive federal funds from making admission decisions on the basis of race. Certainly we should be inclusive in education and not discriminate against Atlasians because of their skin color as that is the definition of racism ... and racism by the government is systemic structural systematic racism.

4 prohibits criminals from receiving harsher sentences on the basis of race. Certainly we should be fair, neutral, and equal in the provision of justice and not discriminate against Atlasians because of their skin color as that is the definition of racism ... and racism by the government is systemic structural systematic racism.

5 prohibits unnecessary racial categorization on several government documents and licenses. There is no reason you should have to state your skin color to get a government license to fish or check out a book at the Library of Congress or dredge a river bank, or buy food.

Reject government racism and help amplify fairness and equality.

What the hell?

This bills does nothing to fight racism, it would entrench it. I'm not surprised who the sponsor is, given he's made a habit of advertising his racist views, such as thinking it's perfectly normal to name someone after Robert E Lee.

So you believe that people should get different punishments for the same crime based on their race? That sounds pretty racist to me.

Perhaps they were right about crooked prosecutors being racist.

Objection. While I support most parts of this bill, I believe that it would be worthwhile to have some debate. Part 4, which eliminates the alternative sentencing schedule on hate crimes, seems questionable.

If you offer an amendment striking that part I will accept it as friendly.

Im fine with the 60 days part.

Does the federal government issue business licenses? Im fine with including that language if so, im just unaware of any federal business license. Businesses are typically a state matter, except for government sponsored enterprises like the FDIC or TVA which are purely entities that lack a race. Also IRL DC's government but in game DC has full statehood and isnt federal. We had business licenses in our Regional version of this bill and I left it out here since I didnt think the federal government issued business licenses. If you can identify some federal business licenses thatll help.

Either way Ill say friendly at this time since it doesnt hurt anything and itll hopefully avoid a vote on a mere surplusage.
